The Wildest Party in Africa is BACK! Get ready for the 11th annual edition of the Victoria Falls Carnival, a three-day event of music, arts and culture set in one of the seven wonders of the world. Enjoy everything from dance to performances at Elephant Hills Resort Hotel from 28th April - 30th April – you do not want to miss out on this epic experience! Confirmed Artists Performing At The Victoria Falls Carnival 2023 [11th Edition]

Mafikizolo

Mafikizolo first formed in the 90's as a trio, signing a record deal with indie label Kalawa Jazmee. While their hit single 'Loot' was remixed by Louie Vega, it was their album 'Sibongile' that really put the act on the map, selling more than 350 000 copies! The passing of one band member saw the remaining two temporarily breaking for a period to focus on solo careers but they reunited stronger than before with their track #Khona, which has gone on to be one of the most played and requested song in South Africa.

Having shared international stages with some of the world's best performers, including Will Smith, Bono and Queen, and having performed in 17 African countries, we can't wait to welcome them back to Zimbabwe for the 11th Edition of our Carnival!

Mokoomba

Vic Falls, six-piece band Mokoomba is the coming together of childhood friends. Touching on everything from Soukous to Ska and Salsa, with a masterful mix of musical traditions, the band is infused with an international flare and have, since their inception in 2008, gathered numerous accolades including 'Best Touring Artists' at the Zimbabwe Music Awards.

Imagine Zim rhythms, Afrobeats and Afrorock sounds with sensational accapela harmonies, spectacular guitar work, earthy percussions and a lot of soul all brought to you by Mokoomba at this year's carnival.

Jah Prayzah

Master of the Mbira and MTV award winner Jah Prayzah will be gracing the Main Stage at #VFC2023 πŸ”₯

His music is a fusion of Zimbabwean Traditional Music, Mbira and Afrobeats. He has 11 albums to his name, with a song off his latest offering 'Gwara' being play-listed by Apple Music under their Africa Now playlist. In 2021, he topped the Youtube charts in Zimbabwe for 42 out of the 52 weeks in the year.

Musa Keys

πŸ”Š Giyani-born DJ, singer and producer Musa Keys (aka Tsonga Michael Jackson), who shot to fame under the mentorship of Lazarus Thobejane with record breaking hits Selema (Po Po) and Kancane, joins our #VFC2023 Line-Up. He has been named a Forbes Top 10 Leading Amapiano Artist and there's a Double Platinum under his belt. You should be excited to watch him perfoming at this year's VFC.

 Toss, Mdoovar & 9umba

The powerhouse trio took South Africa by storm with their hit single ‘Umlando’, inspiring the #UmlandoChallenge which has since amassed over 16m views on Youtube and over 100m views across other social media platforms worldwide.

Oskido

House music Godfather @oskidoibelieve joins the line-up alongside his live band to take us on a nostalgic journey back in time with the hits that will have you daydreaming about the good old House days.

"The early 90's found him selling boerewors sausage rolls outside the Razzmatazz nightclub in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, sneaking his way inside the club to spin the closing sessions and slowing down American house tracks to a tempo that "Africans could dance to". Oskido has since produced for numerous artists including Bongo Maffin, Boom Shaka and Mafikizolo, also on this year's line-up, and he is an original regular on YFM Radio. Come and witness the greatness! #VFC2023

Boity

Rap mega babe @boity who will also be returning to the Victoria Falls Carnival Main Arena, and other exclusive VIP events, at #VFC2023! Boity's first single "Wuz Dat" featuring South African rapper Nasty C was the first ever single to be certified Platinum by a South African female artist AND the best selling single of all time by a female in the country too! Boity is what we call a sensation.

Black Motion

Black Motion are a South African electronic duo known for blending house music with lively indigenous percussion together with multilingual vocals. Formed in 2010, they shot to fame with their first single "Banane Mavoko" featuring Jah Rich, which gained them international recognition. You do not want to miss this act lined up for our MAIN ARENA at #VFC2023!

Han-C

Singer-Songwriter Han-C burst into the local Botswana music scene with his chart-topping debut album "On My Own", reaching Number 1 on iTunes within the first week of release. He has won multiple awards since including the YAMAS Artist of The Year four times in a row! Han C is simply as good as he sounds.

Mac G and Sol

Two of SA’s favourite radio DJ’s join the #VFC2023 line-up for what is going to be one FIRE B2B set! Mac G and Sol, the hosts of Africa's Biggest Podcast ('Podcast and Chill with Mac G') and South Africa's biggest breakfast show on KayaFM, will be joining forces for a unique blend of soulful, spiritual House tunes. This is their first appearance at the Victoria Falls Carnival.

Top Cheri

Performing for the first time in Zimbabwe, Namibia-born Top Cheri is set to bring her unique fusion of Afro-pop and Dancehall mixed with an unwavering North-West African flair.

She was titled 'Best Newcomer' and won 'Album of the Year' for her debut album 'Fertile', at the Namibian Annual Music Awards. And we know there is a whole lot more magic up her sleeve. Catch her in captivating performance and experience her honeyed vocals live on stage at #VFC2023.

Enzo Ishall

Afro Dancehall singer and songwriter, Enzo Ishall, was first flung into the spotlight in 2018 with the release of his hit song 'Kanjiva' and his music video's catchy dance routines. This big break led him to win numerous awards and attracted an ever-growing fan base. Following a string of headline performances, all marked as "original, unpredictable and energetic", we can't wait to see what Enzo Ishall delivers at Vic Falls Carnival.

Nitefreak

Producer of the slamming remix 'My Africa - Nitefreak Afro Buzz Remix', and an artist at the forefront of the Progressive Afro movement, we are extremely excited to welcome DJ Nitefreak to the #VFC2023 stage!

Anita Jaxson

Anita Jaxson is a Zimbabwean singer songwriter based in Harare, most known for her Zimdancehall collaborations with popular artists Poptain (Duffle bag) and Jah Master (Unonzani). With roots in Motown and a bright Afrobeats future, we are thrilled to welcome this homegrown honey to our 11th Edition line-up.

DJ Rimo

DJ Rimo is a renowned Southern African veteran DJ who has donned the decks throughout the African content as well as Monaco, the UK, UAE, and USA. Sharing the stage with international stars including Akon, Bennie Man, Burna Boy, Fat Joe, Black Coffee and Wizkid, we can’t wait to see what this vibrant and versatile DJ will bring to the #VFC2023 MAIN ARENA.

These local legends will be holding down the fort and keeping the vibe going at #VFC2023

Mi Casa

Deep, Soulful House trio @micasamusic will be bringing their live horns, vocals and keys to #VFC2023 to create an energy on stage like no other! Now signed to Soul Candi Records, Mi Casa formed in 2011 featuring Portuguese-born singer Joao da Fonseca, aka J'Something; DJ/producer Sipho Mphahlaza, aka Dr. Duda; and trumpeter Moshe Kgasoane, aka Mo-T.few, and a debut album that went gold. Since then, the trio have dominated the radio charts with a total of 8 number one singles, two of which went multi-platinum!

Make sure you're in the audience when the lights go up on them.

Mc Mtkayntwana

The hypeman, the Minister of Entertainment - Master of Ceremonies, @mtkayntwana, Nkulumane-bred Mthokozisi Dube introduced himself to crowds with his 2000's style of dressing as well as high energy on stage and has over the years become a prolific Amapiano MC on the South African and Zimbabwean music circuits, will also grace this year's Victoria Falls Carnival. Further to this, he will be doing the talking at #VFC2023, and perhaps a dash of dancing if we are all so lucky, coming in HAWT!

Tashinga

Tashinga is a Zimbabwean-Born, multi-genre DJ/Producer based in Cape Town, South Africa. His recent musical offering, 'Greener Pastures', features artists from SA, Zim and Nigeria, including two singles with Zimbabwean star, Anita Jaxson.

He has performed at various venues across South Africa, with multiple residencies at Cape Town's best Clubs, and he returns to Carnival for the second time this year with his knack for creating long format sets that build an unforgettable experience. We're readying for lift off πŸš€ #VFC2023

Doll Ya Mama

Born Correlia Qwabe, @doll_yamama began her music career in 2020 at Point 1 Cafe. She fast went on to become a resident DJ at Bhubesi Lifestyle Enkandla, before rocketing into popularity on the Mozambican music scene, thanks to her electric DJ sets. She plays Afrotech, Old-School House, Amapiano and Gqom and if her growing social media fanbase is anything to go by, we say catch her while you can ✈️ #VFC2023

Andrea The Vocalist

13 years old Zimbabwean sensation, @andrea_thevocalist is well known for his track 'Uhambo', which sat at No. 1 on @starfm_zw for three weeks in a row! He has since gone viral on TikTok and YouTube and he will soon win over all of your hearts when he takes to the stage next month. This is going to be so special! ❀️

FAQs

Can children come to events?
Unless otherwise stated, children are always welcome, but please be aware that most of our events are aimed at an adult audience. Children must be supervised at all times.
Is there seating at events?
No, you must bring your own chairs if you would like to seat
Where can I park?
There will be onsite parking at the elephant hills grounds, policemen will be assisting in the parking of the cars
Are there public transport to the Venue?
No. You have to organise a shuttle for yourselves to the place and back to your accommodation places.
Is it safe to come at night?
The Victoria Falls Carnival takes place at the Main Stage at night. To our knowledge, none people who attended has had any bad experience, however we do recommend that if you are worried you stick to the roads rather than walk through the bushes. The roads are well-lit and generally there are a lot of people about at night. You need to take extra caution driving at night because animals will be crossing the road connecting town and event site, all the times.
Can I come on my own?
YES! It’s never a problem and you will be welcomed warmly by other people at the event, you will never feel lonely.
